Right To Be Free |

Human Slavery Still Lives In colonial times, the cost of a healthy slave was between 400 and 600 dollars, a tidy sum for farmers and plantation owners back in the day. The end of the slavery in 1865 finally brought closure to this barbaric practice.
Fast forward 200 years. In spite of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations in 1948 stating that “slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms,” modern day slavery is still a sad reality. Slavery still equals money. Lots of it
There are more people enslaved now than at any other time in human history. Even more tragic; half of all modern day slaves are children. A young child laborer in West Africa can be purchased for as little as $40.
More than a century since slavery has officially ended, the trade in human beings for any purpose must not be allowed to continue. Right To Be Free is on the front lines of a battle that must be won.Take a moment to explore this site and learn more about Right To Be Free, an organization dedicated to saving those who have no voice…
